You're not going to find the glasses. Ray Ban only made them for one year when they came out. They were so popular they never made the shelves. I had bought 4 pair because they kept getting stolen from me. They had a model 3000 number but everyone (including vendors) called them Cruel Intentions. However when Ray Ban changed over they were discontinued and lost to history. They are so popluar Ray Ban stills gets emails to bring them back..

I have decided to stop my search for the glasses, they cannot be found.

Please note that the glasses must have been produced before 1999, as the film was shot in 1998.Although officialy it is claimed they were Vuarnet Px3000 wayfarers, this is highly unlikely, only the Vuarnet 061/160/153 come somewhat close.

Another lead is that they may been oliver's peoples sunglasses, but Oliver Peoples was founded in the 90's by buying huges old stock glasses, so glasses from another brand may have been sold at the first Oliver Peoples shop, which has opened in New York, 1998, the year and city the movie was shot.

As for the suggestion they are Ray Bans, in 1998 the USA company was sold to an Italian Company, thus all old American Models were redesigned and renumbered, therefore very difficult to find glasses by number before 1999.

Don't bother by contacting the crew from the movie, I've contacted about 20 of them, all saying they don't remember and directing me to the person who provided the glasses. I emailed her and she said she doesn't have her notes anymore and can't remember.
